I bought this for the sleek design and style to update my bathroom. It has the higher seat which is a plus.
The toilet is one piece with a smooth stylish design. Installation is straightforward although the included instructions illustrate a push button flushing mechanism and this one has a lever style. The large side plugs were shown as snap in pieces when they were a screw on clamping design. The mechanism is very quiet and while it uses minimal water it seems to clean itself well.
I replaced a plain white std 2 piece toilet with this one piece set and the difference is absolutely jaw dropping. What was once a std builder-grade bathroom corner is now a stunner. The deep gloss black finish is rich, dramatic and surprisingly easy for upkeep. The retro skirted design conceals trapway nicely – great if you are annoyed like me for reaching out hard-to-reach crevices collecting dust and grime like old toilet had. The soft close seat is whisper quiet. The build quality seems solid and premium. If you want a toilet that actually elevates your bathroom, then this is it! DIY installation is for experienced handyman only. Best is to call a plumber. The toilet flange bolts are not visible from the top while lowering the bowl into position which makes blind alignment tricky if you are not confident with plumbing diy. The toilet itself is absolutely worth it.
